Jike – Wai Ododobari

Jike – Wai Ododobari is a lecturer in the department of Food, Nutrition and Home Science, Faculty of Agriculture in the University of Port Harcourt. She has a Bachelor of Education degree in Home Economics, Master of Science and Doctoral degrees in Human nutrition (community and public health nutrition) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She has several book chapters and journal articles to her credit. She is a member of several professional associations including Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Organization for Women in Science for the developing world (OWSD), American Society for Nutrition (ASN), and Organic Agriculture Program in Tertiary Institutions (OAPTIN). She was a recipient of NUFFIC Netherlands Fellowship award. She is also a nominee and participant of the 2019 Food Security Regional Workshop on Sustainable Safe Food Systems in Africa; Moving towards a sustainable food future, held at Kenya. She has a food product patent to her credit. Her work interest spans across formulation and development of new food products, community and adolescent nutrition.

Biography

Dr. Chidiebere Immaculeta Nwakanma is a distinguished academic and researcher with expertise in Home Economics, Home Management, and Food and Nutrition. She holds a Ph.D. in Food and Nutrition from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (2023), an MSc in Home Management (2017), and a BSc in Home Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2004).

Mercy O. Ifeanacho

Mercy O. Ifeanacho is a Nigerian and a lecturer in the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Home Science in the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She holds a BSc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics (UNN), MSc. Human Nutrition (UI) and PhD Biochemistry (Nutrition and Toxicology) UPH). She is a Professor of Nutrition and Toxicology. Her research interest is in Experimental Nutrition, and she has supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate projects. Her teaching experience in the Tertiary Education System spans over 25 years. Professor Ifeanacho has attended many national and regional conferences and workshops and published several articles in reputable local and international journals. She is a member of some professional bodies and associations, which include Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Dietitians Association of Nigeria (DAN), Federation of African Nutrition Societies (FANUS) and Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). She served on several committees at different times within and outside her university such as Curriculum Development, Advisory, Finance, Education and Entertainment committees. She also held some administrative responsibilities in her university such as coordinator of Biochemistry/Chemistry Technology Programme and Head, Department of Food, Nutrition and Home Science. Her hobbies include indoor games, cooking and listening to Christian music. Mercy is married with children


Mrs Obichere Onyenaturuchi Assumpta

Mrs Obichere Onyenaturuchi Assumpta (M.sc, B.sc) holds a Master of Science degree in Home Economics (Food and Nutrition). She is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Food, Nutrition and Home Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Port Harcourt.

Assumpta has keen interest in Food Toxicology, Food and Nutrition Security, Food Processing and Human Nutrition. She has published and contributed to several journals in the field of Food Science, Home Science and Nutrition.

Mrs. Obichere Onyenaturuchi Assumpta is clouded with Numerical skills and highly motivated and driven in an extensive background in people relations. She has a track record of achieving predetermined objectives. Assumpta is focused, flexible, meticulous, enthusiastic and very personable.

She is a devout Christian in the Catholic Faith and serving in various capacities to help the poor and needy in our society through various associations. Assumpta is currently completing her Doctor of Philosophy studies in Home Economics with emphasis in Food and Nutrition. Mrs. Obichere Onyenaturuchi Assumpta is happily married to Dr. Stanley Chijioke Obichere and they are blessed with wonderful children.
