Prof Eseosa Omorogiuwa

Prof. Eseosa Omorogiuwa is a highly accomplished academic and professional in the field of electrical engineering, with over two decades of experience in power systems, electrical machines, and renewable energy. He holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering (1997), a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (B.Eng), a Master’s (M.Eng), and a Ph.D. in Power Systems and Electrical Machines. As a COREN-registered engineer, Prof. Omorogiuwa has a robust background in both academia and industry, underscoring his authority and practical knowledge in the field.
Currently, as a professor and senior researcher, he is actively involved in advancing sustainable energy solutions, focusing on the integration of renewable energy sources into power infrastructures and improving system reliability and operational efficiency. His research addresses critical challenges in energy stability and grid resilience, contributing significantly to the field through both theoretical advancements and practical applications.
Prof. Omorogiuwa has an extensive publication record, with over 75 articles in highly regarded journals. His mentorship is equally impressive, having supervised over 100 undergraduate projects, 50 master’s theses, and 10 Ph.D. dissertations. An editor and reviewer for both national and international journals, he is also an active conference participant, sharing his insights and expanding his expertise within Nigeria and abroad.
Engr. Dr. Matthew Ehikhamenle

Engr. Dr. Matthew Ehikhamenle is a distinguished engineer and academic with a stellar reputation in electronics, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, satellite communications, and renewable energy. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication, an MSc in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Benin, and a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Second Class Upper).
Currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt and Assistant Director at the Centre for Information and Telecommunication Engineering (CITE), Dr. Matthew Ehikhamenle combines academic excellence with hands-on industry experience, including roles as an Electrical Engineer at Ambrose Alli University and Satellite Engineer at Landmark Communication Ltd. His groundbreaking research in cognitive radio networks, robotics, and automation has resulted in over 50 influential publications and global recognition.
A member of NSE, COREN, NIM, and SSPI, he champions innovative and sustainable solutions through cutting-edge projects like renewable energy systems and advanced communication designs. A native of Esan North-East LGA, Edo State, Dr. Matthew Ehikhamenle is a passionate mentor, inspiring engineers to achieve greatness. Deeply rooted in his Catholic faith, he leads a fulfilling life with his wife, Mrs. Omonye Ehikhamenle, and their children, embodying excellence both professionally and personally.
Engr. Dr. Remigius Obinna Okeke

Engr. Dr. Remigius Obinna Okeke is a seasoned engineering professional, educator and an academic leader. His research interest are Electronics, Communication engineering, Intelligent systems, renewable energy, Optical networks/systems, Power Systems, Blockchain technologies, Cybersecurity systems, etc. He has published so many scholarly articles in his listed areas of interest in reputable high-impact international journals and conferences. He holds a B.Eng. Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Second Class, Upper division), from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu, Nigeria, MSc. in Mobile and High Speed Telecommunication Networks from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK and PhD in Communication Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. He is a corporate member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), and a registered Engineer with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He has served the University in different capacities, he is the current Director of Science and Engineering Workshop, University of Port Harcourt. Prior to his joining Uniport, He has served as a Service Engineer/Manager with the defunct Power Holding company of Nigeria PLC. He is happily married with children.
Engr. Ezeofor, Chukwunazo Joseph (PhD)

Engr. Ezeofor, Chukwunazo Joseph (PhD) is a staff of the University of Port Harcourt and a Senior lecturer in the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Hereceived his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), M.Eng in Communication Engineering at Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and PhD in Computer and Control Systems Engineering at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (NAU), all in Nigeria. He had over forty publications in both local and International reputable Journals. His research interest is in Embedded Systems, Embedded AI, IoT, Robotics & Automation, Machine Learning, and Cloud/Edge/Fog Computing. Ezeofor is a member Nigerian Society of Engineering (NSE) and registered member of Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. He is happily married with four children.
Justus N. Dike

Justus N. Dike obtained a B.Eng. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri; an M.Eng. degree in Electronics/Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt and a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering (Communications) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His research interest includes communication network performance optimization and energy efficiency of wireless sensor networks. He worked as a Project Engineer with the National Directorate for Food, Roads and Rural Infrastructures (NDFRRI), Daura and a Site Engineer on special assignment with Dangote Farms Limited, Kankara, Katsina State, Nigeria as a member of the National Youth Service Coop. He also worked as a Field Seismologist with Seismograph Service Nigeria Limited, Warri, Nigeria and later as an Operations Engineer/Manager with Jungdique Nigeria Limited, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. As a research student with Shell Services International, Nigeria (SSIN), Port Harcourt, Nigeria he was involved in network support operations. He is currently a Reader in the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering of the University of Port Harcourt. Dr. Dike is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Engr. Dr. Mrs Nkolika Ogechukwu Nwazor is an Associate Professor of Computer and Control Systems Engineering She is currently the Ag. Head of Department, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She has also served as Coordinator of the Engineering Management Program (2021 to 2023), Deputy Director Centre for Information and Telecommunication Engineering, CITE (2018 – 2020) and chairman and member of several boards and committees. She has B.Eng. (Electrical/Electronic Engineering), M.Eng. and PhD (Electronic and Computer Engineering with specialisation in Computer and Control Systems Engineering) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria. She is a member of several professional organisations including the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, (COREN), Nigeria Society of Engineers, NIEEE, IEEE, IAENG, NIM and OWSD. She has several publications in local and international peer-reviewed journals and has authored books and book chapters on robotics, Instrumentation and control systems engineering. Her research interests include Hardware and Software System automation and control, Instrumentation and Measurement, Robotics, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, Remote control of systems, and embedded systems design. She worked for six years as a Senior Research Engineer at the Electronic Development Institute, Anambra state, Nigeria before joining the university.

Engr. Igochi Praise ONU is a staff of the University of Port Harcourt and a Lecturer II in the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng.) in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and a Masters Degree (M.Sc.) in Information and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

DR IFEOMA BENARDINE ASIANUBA

Engr Dr Ifeoma Benardine Asianuba is an Associate Professor of Communication Engineering in the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering University of Port Harcourt. She received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Master’s degree in Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering and obtained a Doctorate degree in Communication Engineering. She has so many Research publications in peer reviewed Journals and is a research member in a team that won the 2023 TETFUND grant. She is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), member: Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (IEEE), member: Association of professional women Engineers in Nigeria and a COREN registered Engineer. Her research interest spans through; Mobile/wireless communication Networks, Internet of Things Technology, Antennas, and Fiber optics networks. In addition to her role in the academia, Dr Ifeoma is committed to supporting women in STEM, advocating for inclusion, diversity. empowerment and gender equity. Through her work in teaching, research, and community service outreach, Dr Ifeoma strives to foster an environment where women and girls can strive in STEM discipline. She is a good team player with innovative ideas, a goal getter and is open to learning new things. She is married with children.
