Uniport Management Visits WIGWE University
In a historic and inspiring gesture, the principal officers of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) today paid a special visit to WIGWE University, a rising institution whose slogan, Fearless, embodies its unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in education.
The visit marks a significant step toward fulfilling the vision of the late founder, Dr. Herbert WIGWE, who dreamt of a strong mentorship bond between the University of Port Harcourt and WIGWE University. The late founder envisioned UNIPORT playing a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding the younger institution toward academic and administrative excellence.
The UNIPORT delegation, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Owunari Georgewill, was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor of WIGWE University, Professor Marwan Al-Akaidi. During the visit, the delegation embarked on a comprehensive tour of WIGWE University’s state-of-the-art facilities. The VC of Wigwe University ,Prof. Al-Akaidi, accompanied by his principal officers, guided the UNIPORT team through the innovative campus infrastructure designed to support a forward-thinking educational environment.
Speaking during the tour, Prof. Georgewill expressed his admiration for the progress made by WIGWE University, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and mentorship between the two institutions.
