“That we may know Him and the power of His resurrection”
Jesus Christ is Alive; He is risen
Today, we commemorate the triumph over death by our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the foundation of our Christian faith — the divine proclamation that death is defeated, hope is restored.
This sacred season calls us to deeper reflection and renewed purpose. Just as the tomb could not hold Him, may we not be held back by the weights of discouragement, fear, or disunity. Let this truth roll away the stones of doubt, division, and despair in our hearts and community.
Easter is our assurance that from every trial emerges triumph, from every sacrifice springs salvation, and from every season of loss, God brings restoration.
At the University of Port Harcourt, our collective journey is marked by perseverance, strengthened by unity, and illuminated by grace. Our pursuit of academic excellence, our growth in infrastructure, and our impact within society are the manifestation of purpose fulfilled.
Let us, therefore, rise anew — not only in celebration but in renewed commitment to the values that define us: excellence, integrity, service, and compassion as institutional ideals.
As we embrace this season of renewal, may we become like springtime to a weary world — sources of hope, healing, and encouragement. Let us uplift one another, ignite innovation, and reflect the light of Christ in all we do.
May this Easter pour forth upon us and our families the peace that surpasses understanding and the joy that no one can take away.
Together, let us continue to build a university where hope is not just a season but a culture — a daily resurrection of faith, love, and learning. Christ is risen indeed!
Happy Easter Celebration!
