Biography:
Abiodun Adebunmi Omeife-Greg is a trained and passionate Educational Psychologist and Guidance Counsellor. I am dedicated to fostering students’ academic and personal growth through modern instructional techniques.

PROF. CHIKWE AGBAKWURU

Prof Chikwe Agbakwuru is a Prof of Counselling Psychology. He obtained B.Ed in Guidance and Counselling/Political Science in 1991, M.Ed and Ph.D in Guidance and Counselling in 1998 and 2003 respectively. He is an alumna of University of Calabar and University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He assumed duty as lecture II in the University in 2007 and rose through the ranks to a full professor in 2020. He has published 84 journal articles, 16 book chapters, 6 books and co-edited 8 others. He has also presented over 20 seminars/workshops. Prof Chikwe Agbakwuru has attended 44 academic conferences and presented lead paper in two of them. He has served as an external examiner in two federal universities. He has also assessed 4 candidates for promotion to the professional cader.

He is a member of 8 national and international professional associations and a fellow of Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON). He has won many awards including (APROCON) award of excellence and most friendly lecturer award by student counsellors Association of Nigeria, University of Port Harcourt chapter. He is an editor of 2 professional journals, associate editor of 5 others and editorial board member of two other journals.


Dr. C. K. Ukwuije

Dr. C. K. Ukwuije is a senior lecturer in the department of educational Psychology Guidance and Counselling, university of Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria. She hails from Mbieri in Mbaitoli local Government Area of Imo State. She had her Ph.d in 2020, M.ed in 2012 both in Educational Psychology, B.ed in Guidance and Counselling at university of Nigeria Nsukka and Accounting Education in Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri.

She is a member of Neocycle Educational Psychologist (NCEP), Rivers State Counselling Association of Nigeria (Rivcasson), International Association for Innovation in Educational Assessment (AIIEA) and others. She served in the department as the course Adviser (U2016 set), Plagiarism Coordinator (2021 till date), Entrepreneurship Coordinator 2023 till date. She have contributed in book chapters, written many national and International Journals, supervised over 40 students. She was blessed with a handsome boy.


Echendu, Ihedi Ogide, Ph.D

Echendu, Ihedi Ogide, Ph.D, began his tertiary education at the Rivers State College of Education, where he obtained the bachelor of Education degree in Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling in 1997. In 2008, he enrolled for a Master degree in the Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education of the University of Port Harcourt, where obtained the Master degree in Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, specializing in Educational Psychology. In 2013, he further applied for a Doctorate degree in same field, and in 2018, he successfully completed his doctorate degree with Educational Psychology as his area of specialization.

He has briefly worked as a graduate assistant and Counsellor at Rivers State College of Education and Rivers State Polytechnic Bori before his Current employment into University of Port Harcourt as a lecturer. Similarly, he has worked as a personal assistant to Hon. Wilson Ake at the National assembly Abuja.

Echendu, Ihedi Ogide, Ph.D, has published seven (7) scholarly articles in peer review journals both locally and internationally. He has also attended professional development conferences and workshops where he presented scientific papers. He currently lectures at the Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling of the Faculty of Education, University of Port Harcourt.


Prof. Ijeoma Margaret Opara

Professor Ijeoma Margaret Opara hails from Azaraegbelu in Emekuku Owerri in Owerri-North LGA of Imo state, Nigeria. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, University of Port Harcourt. Professor I. M. Opara is a Psychometrician who specialized in Educational Measurement and Evaluation. Professor Opara is a member of many Professional Associations like the Association of Educational Researchers and Evaluators of Nigeria (ASSEREN) as well as Association of Psychometrians and Educational Researchers of Nigeria (APERN). She started as Assistant Lecturer in the year 2007 and rose to the rank of a Professor in October 2023. She has successfully supervised over forty (40) Post Graduate dissertations and theses. In the course of her career, she has attended over thirty-two (32) conferences with over seven-eighty (78) Journal publications. Professor Opara is an avid writer with two textbooks to her credit, one co-authored textbook and four(4) book chapters. She is an Associate and Managing Editor of Nigerian Journal of Empirical Studies in Psychology and Educaton (NJESPE) by Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling as well as Associate Editor of Nigerian Journal of Education, Research and Evaluation (NJERE) by Association of Educational Researchers and Evaluators of Nigeria (ASSEREN).


Prof. Jonathan N. Onukwufor

Prof. Jonathan N. Onukwufor is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology Guidance and Counselling, University of Port Harcourt. He hails from Itu in Ezinihitte Local Government of Imo State.

He obtained his B.Sc. (Ed.) Economics, M.Ed. Guidance and Counselling and Ph.D Educational Psychology Degrees from the University of Port Harcourt. He has published several articles in reputable journals both nationally and internationally. He has also attended several conferences. He published a book captioned Fundamentals of Social Psychology in 2012.

He was Associate Editor RIVCASSON Journal for two consecutive periods. He was a member of Uniport Quality Assurance and Quality Control. He was Departmental Graduate Students’ Seminar Coordinator. He was also students’ course adviser. He is a member Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON). He is a member of the Nigerian Council of Educational Psychologists.

He was Vice Principal Administration University of Port Harcourt Demonstration Secondary School (UDSS). He was promoted to the rank of a Professor in 2021.


PROFESSOR KEMJIKA, OBI GREGORY

Prof. O. G. Kemjika has N.C. E. obtained from Alvan Ikoku College of Education in 1977, B.Sc. Ed., M. Ed. & Ph.D in Guidance and Counseling from University of Lagos. He taught in Lagos for 14 years in a secondary school and two years as part time lecturer at the University of Lagos between 1988 to 1990 and transferred his service to University of Port Harcourt from February 1st 1991. He arose through the ranks to the present rank of Professor in April 2009. He is the oldest Professor in both his Department and the Faculty of Education. He served as HOD for three times and was the first Associate Dean of the Faculty of Education. He has held various positions in the department and Faculty. He has been teaching many courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has supervised many undergraduate research projects, masters dissertations and PhD theses. Prof. Kemjika has good number of published articles in reputable journals and a number of chapters in books. He has authored three books and co-authored one other book with his colleague. All the books are in his area of specialization. Prof. Kemjika is a High Chief, happily married with children and many grandchildren.

Prof Fedelis Enuagwuna Iweka

Prof Fedelis Enuagwuna Iweka (08035470439, iwekafidelis@gmail.com; fidelis.iweka@uniport.edu.ng) who is from Ukwunzu in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, is a Professor of Measurement and Evaluation (Psychometrics) in the Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling in University of Port Harcourt.

He bagged his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in 2008, Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in 1997 and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree in 1995 all from the University of Port Harcourt. He joined University of Port Harcourt as lecturer 2 in September, 2008 in the Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling’.

He has attended so many national and international conferences. He has written over 35 publications in reputable national journals and over 15 publications in international journals among which gave him the world championship 2018 award of excellence for scientific outstanding in educational research (item response theory). He has written many standard textbooks in his area of specialization.

He has contributed immensely and widely to knowledge through his intensive and extensive research and he is also a fellow, Directorate of Educational Research International Agency for Standard and Rating (IASR).

Prof. Fidelis Iweka is happily married to Deaconess Ngozi Iweka and has five children.


PROF. MRS. BETTY-RUTH N. IRULOH

Prof. Mrs. Betty-Ruth Ngozi Iruloh is a seasoned Professor of Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, University of Port Harcourt. She is currently the Director of the Institute of Education in the University of Port Harcourt. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of La Verne in California, United States of America; while her Post Graduate Diploma in Education, Master’s in Education & a Doctor of Philosophy in Guidance and Counseling were obtained from the Unique University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Prof Betty Iruloh has taught several courses at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, supervised graduate and postgraduate projects. She has also served as the Head of Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, University of PortHarcourt (2012-2014) where she received a letter of commendation from the then Vice Chancellor.

She has traveled widely in Africa, to the United States of America, Europe etc where she attended various conferences and published in reputable peer reviewed Journals. Prof. Betty Iruloh has authored and Co-authored some books; like marriageable girls, Organisation and Administration of Guidance and Counselling, Perspectives of Drug Abuse, etc.

As a sound motivational speaker and Counsellor per excellence, God has used her to change lives and also reactivate broken marriages; more so, salvaged cases of frustration and depression. She is a member of many professional and international Organisations like Counselling Association of Nigeria CASSON, Association of Professional Counsellors of Nigeria APROCON, Centre for human Development and Social Transformation CHDST, Women For LIfe International WFLI (USA). Commission on the Status of, Women CSW. (USA) etc .In the River’s State Chapter of the Counseling Association of Nigeria, She was a committed Treasurer for more than ten years.

Prof. Betty Iruloh has received several Awards from reputable Institutions and Organisations. One outstanding quality that distinguishes her is her achievements in the practice of Counselling and Psychotherapy in Stelmath Foundation, her private Outfit. She is a born-again child of God, a long-time Deaconess of the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, a denomination she has served in various capacities.

Prof Betty Iruloh is the Vice President of the Queen’s School Enugu Old Girls Association, Rivers State Chapter. She is married with two children, a Son & Daughter-in-law, and five enviable Grand Children. Her hobbies include reading, writing, traveling and general hospitality.

Prof. Goodness Wobihiele Orluwene, born on 30th January, 1971 in Rumuakunde-Emohua, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria. I have three children (males). Professor Ijeoma Regina Ernest-Ehibudu

Professor Ijeoma Regina Ernest-Ehibudu is a Professor of Guidance and Counselling in the Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling in the University of Port Harcourt. She served as the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Education from 2021-2022. She is currently the Director of Career Services Intervention Centre. She is a seasoned Counselling Psychologist who carries out counselling in school and non-school settings whose career spans over two decades. She engages in marital counselling and has vested interest in children and adolescents. She is an astute educationist who uses the teaching platform to mentor and shape the youths. Prof Ernest-Ehibudu, is a mentor and a life coach. She has been a resource person and facilitator at many seminars, workshops and conferences. She has published over 50 scholarly articles in reputable national and international journals. She is an Associate Editor to International and National Journals. She is a member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria, Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria as well a number of other professional associations in Nigeria and abroad. She is a minister of the gospel with the Redeemed Christian Church of God. She is blissfully married to Arc Ernest Ehibudu and the marriage is blessed with three amazing children.
